Winter Landscape in Soft Pastels Workshop
Wednesday 4th December
6-8pm

Create your own delicate winter landscape using soft pastels. Beautifully capture the essence of your winter scene without getting distracted by detail. Working with chalk pastel onto a coloured paper you’ll be able to focus on the effects of light, atmosphere and distance in your artwork. 

Techniques include:

  • Blending and layering colours
  • How to use chalk pastels for a ‘painterly’ effect
  • The best mark making tips for chalk pastels such as scumbling and feathering
  • How to loosen up your drawing style

All materials are included. Beginner friendly! 

Refund and cancellation policy

A full refund will be offered if you call or email me to cancel at least 48 hours before the booked workshop. I are unable to offer you any refund if your course is due to commence within 48 hours, or if you do not attend.

I reserve the right to cancel any course or class at any time. If this happens you can choose either a full refund or a transfer to an alternative course/ date.

The Studio is based in Meanwhile House, just a 10 minute walk from Cardiff Central station. We're just off Curran Embankment. From Penarth Road take the turning between Big Yellow Storage and Kwik Fit and it's the first turning on the left.

Parking

Evenings: The carpark on site is available to visitors from 6pm on weekdays. Please park along the gate opposite the building, not in any of the spaces which are reserved. If you arrive early for your class I'd advise you wait with your car until 6pm just in case of a permit inspection. 

Access

The studio is on the first floor, accessed via a staircase. Due to the restrictions of the building I'm afraid there is no lift, please let me know if you have any access requirements which will make this difficult for you.
