Strong outlines, bold colours and repeating patterns! Get inspired by the masters of Pop Art, Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein.

In the style of these artists you’ll work from secondhand images taken from celebrity, advertising and mass-culture. You’ll learn to transform your subject by simplifying shapes, using contrasting colours and areas of geometric pattern. You’ll be shown step-by-step how to create your own Pop Art style artwork to take home.

Suitable for beginners and all materials included.

How to find us:

Our Studio is based in Meanwhile House, just a 10 minute walk from Cardiff Central station. We're just off Curran Embankment. From Penarth Road take the turning between Big Yellow Storage and Kwik Fit and we're the first turning on the left.

Address
Meanwhile House, Curran Embankment, CF10 5FX

Parking:

Daytimes (until 6pm):

The carpark outside the building is reserved for staff only until 6pm (including weekends) and you need a permit to park here. The nearest street parking is just over the bridge along the river on either Taff Embankment or Taffs Mead Embankment. This is charged with meters so do check signs but it is a very short walk from here to the studio. We are also just a 10 minute walk from Cardiff Central train station so easily accessible by public transport. If you do have access requirements and need parking on site we have one visitor permit that can be used by students with prior arrangement but visitor parking is limited and cannot be guaranteed.

Access
Our studio is on the first floor, accessed via a staircase. Please contact us if you have any access requirements. We will always do our best to accommodate but due to the restrictions of the building this is not always possible.
