Colour Field Paintings are all about the expressive potential of colour! Emerging from the abstract painters working in the 1950s and 1960s it is a big, bold and expressive style of painting. In this workshop you’ll learn a number of techniques to help you create your own powerful colour field painting.

You’ll learn:

  • How artists like Mark Rothko use colour with impact
  • How to use shape to create bold compositions
  • How to create hard and soft edges with blending and masking techniques
  • How to use glazes to build rich areas of colour

All materials are included and suitable for beginners!
