"I strongly recommend this course to anybody. The atmosphere is calming, no one judges you and everyone is encouraged by a great teacher. Thank you so much!" Zee
This 10 week drawing course is a fantastic way to develop and build fundamental skills. You will work on a series of projects, studying proportion, composition, tone, line, shapes and shadow. You’ll also work with a range of materials including pencils, charcoal, chalk pastels, oil pastels and watercolour to develop a broad skill base. You will cover a range of subject matter from still life, landscape and portraiture to provide you with the best opportunity to develop your skills.
I keep my class sizes small to ensure you get lots of individual focus. This also gives me the chance to tailor the course to the needs of the group and you will have the opportunity to feed into what you'd like to learn. The classes are always relaxed and suitable for all levels.
"I loved the course. It was the highlight of the week. After not doing art for 40 years I am inspired" Sarah

How to find us
The Studio is based in Meanwhile House, just a 10 minute walk from Cardiff Central station. We're just off Curran Embankment. From Penarth Road take the turning between Big Yellow Storage and Kwik Fit and we're the first turning on the left.
Daytimes (until 6pm): The carpark outside the building is reserved for staff only until 6pm (including weekends) and you need a permit to park here. The nearest street parking is just over the bridge along the river on either Taff Embankment or Taffs Mead Embankment. This is charged with meters so do check signs but it is a very short walk from here to the studio. We are also just a 10 minute walk from Cardiff Central train station so easily accessible by public transport. If you do require parking on site there is a visitor permit that can be used by students with prior arrangement but this is reserved only for students who really need it and cannot be guaranteed.
Evenings (6pm onwards): The carpark on site is available to visitors from 6pm so you can park right outside the building. If you do arrive early for your class we'd advise you wait with your car until 6pm just in case of inspection.
Access The studio is on the first floor, accessed via a staircase. Please contact me if you have any access requirements. I will always do my best to accommodate but due to the restrictions of the building this is not always possible.
