Painting Seas and Skies Course - Starts Monday 23rd September
5 Week Course Starts Monday 23rd September 1-3pm or 6-8pm
Learn how to paint dramatic and beautiful seascapes in acrylics. You will be introduced to painting techniques to help you recreate the multitude of colours and textures in sea and sky.
You’ll be taught how to effectively use stippling, blending and directional brushstrokes to give your paintings a sense of atmosphere. Try your hand at different painting styles from realism to impressionism to capture natural beauty in new ways.
With small class sizes, you will have plenty of guidance to help you build skills each week and create your own seascape paintings to take home.
"The most enjoyable way to learn new techniques and apply them to my painting. I loved the course." Tracey

The Studio is based in Meanwhile House, just a 10 minute walk from Cardiff Central station. We're just off Curran Embankment. From Penarth Road take the turning between Big Yellow Storage and Kwik Fit and it's the first turning on the left.
Daytime: The carpark outside the building is reserved for staff only until 6pm on weekdays and this is monitored. The nearest street parking is just over the bridge along the river on either Taff Embankment or Taffs Mead Embankment. This is charged with meters so do check the signs but it is a very short walk from here to the studio. It is also just a 10 minute walk from Cardiff Central train station so easily accessible by public transport. If you do require parking on site I have one visitor permit that can be used by students with prior arrangement but this is reserved only for those who really need it.
Evening: The carpark on site is available to visitors on weekends and from 6pm on weekdays. Please park along the gate opposite the building, not in any of the spaces which are reserved. If you arrive early for your class I'd advise you wait with your car until 6pm just in case of a permit inspection.
Access The studio is on the first floor, accessed via a staircase. Due to the restrictions of the building I'm afraid there is no lift, please let me know if you have any access requirements which will make this difficult for you.
